This is what BMW came up with, the X5 Security Edition. Which means this one is bullet-proof! Cool? Built with heavy-duty material and ballistics-resistant steel and 22mm-thick bullet-proof safety glass all around. Other safety features include an intercom system and a camera monitoring set-up. The vehicle’s passenger cell has been designed to protect its occupants from violent crimes such as robbery, kidnapping or carjacking, and it can even sustain a blast from a small explosive. Power comes from a 4.8L V8 developing 355hp (261kW) and peak torque of 350lb-ft (475Nm) at just 3,400rpm. Despite the added weight of all the reinforcements, the X5 Security can still accelerate from 0-100km/h in a brisk 7.5 seconds. Top speed, however, is limited to just 210km/h. Maximum payload is rated at 500kg (1,100lbs).

This is what AMG done with the latest Mercedes SL65. Now powered by a turbocharged V12 engine, it develops 670hp at 1000Nm of torque! But fitted with a 5-speed automatic gearbox. From 0 - 60mph is less than 4 sec and a top speed of up to 186mph. The new SL looks kinda cute to me but the AMG Black Series does put in some extra power to show its aggressiveness.

Anyway, Proton and Perodua are both going to produce their own Multi Purpose Vehicle or MPV in somewhere 2009, which nobody knows what its going to look like, the price, the specification and etc. But rumors are always around the Internet circulating, saying this and that. Which one are you more anticipated to see? Proton or Perodua? There are some pictures showing that Proton is using Toyota Wish as testing models, and there are some saying that Perodua will produce something like Avanza but with Wish looks??! So what's real and what's not? We'll just have to wait.

Toyota redesigns the Crown which nows seems to be more luxurious and more powerful. The new Crown offers a Hybrid lineup and two non-hybrid, Crown Royal Saloon and the Crown Athlete.
Toyota Crown Royal Saloon comes with either a 2.5l or a 3.0l V6 engine while the Crown Athlete offers same 2.5l or 3.5l engine. Both lineup comes with a 6-speed automatic gearbox, and rear wheel drive while four-wheel drive is an option.

The Crown Hybrid comes with a TFT LCD Finegraphic Meter that displays digital and analog speedometers, and a hybrid system status indicator showing output and energy recovery.

Toyota new Pre-Crash safety system that uses an eye monitor to determine if the driver’s eyes are properly open and which way their head is facing. If the driver is sleepy or distracted the car will attempt to get their attention. Toyota also equipped with GPS Stop Sign Technology.

Mansory - Aston Martin DB9 Coupe and Volante

A near perfection car is harder to modify or somehow add some other fine touches but Mansory did added some fine touches to the Aston Martin DB9 Coupe and the Volante. Now both the Aston still look great in every angle. Designers at Mansory added a new front spoiler with daytime running lights, integrated fog lights and a matching lower grille insert. Side skirts highlighted with carbon-lined rear intakes also make the cut as does a new rear diffuser make completely of carbon. This is offset with chrome exhaust tips, aluminum trim, and matching carbon taillight covers. Other than that, upgraded new Brembo brake package consisting of 405mm discs and six-piston callipers up front and four-piston callipers in the rear. These sit within a new set of lightweight, fully forged, aluminum wheels measuring 20in in diameter. New anodized aluminum air intakes on the bonnet and a suspension lowering kit with sport performance springs complete the look of the vehicle.

There are 3 models available, ranging from 1.8-liter 16 valve engine making 132hp while a 158hp 2.4-liter goes into the sportier S and XRS models, all mated with a 5-speed manual transmission is standard for both engines while a 4-speed automatic for the entry models and 5-speed automatic transmissions are optional. Now this A1 is no ordinary mini car. Audi claims additional technologies such as engine stop/start and brake energy regeneration help reduce fuel consumption by 15%. Despite this, performance is remains relatively decent at 0-100km/h in 7.8 seconds, and a top speed of 201 km/h. The concept car uses just 4.9 litres of premium fuel for every 100 km, while CO2 emissions average a low 112 g/km.

Finally, the launch of the new Toyota Vios! The new Vios is bigger than the old one of course, as you can see the leg room for the front and back passenger is very big. The new Vios looks much more 'Cuter' and much more 'Elegant' i would say. But the new Vios is still powered by the same engine, but Toyota said that the engine have made some changes to the intake, exhaust and ECU programming to improve the low to mid-end torque even though final peak torque and horsepower figures remain the same. The exact price for the Vios will be confirmed on the actual release date, which is 19 October.

Hummer have released the H3! Powered by a 3.7L motor that produces 244hp. But its not a clean vehicle as the UK government have imposed a tax based on the CO2 emission produced by the vehicle. For the Hummer, CO2 emissions of 327g/km (manual) or 346g/km (automatic). I'm not sure how they calculate the tax but it seems that it won't be that cheap for the Hummer.
